SMOKIN’ FIREBIRDS

Sunshine Coast three-piece ‘Smokin’ Firebirds’ bring bare-bones, rockabilly-blues and roots goodness.

Front-man Dan Firebird stands at the helm, his signature guitar technique well known in the ‘kustom-kulture’ scene – with time paid in full through extensive gigs and tours in various line-ups including A Band Called Twang and Palomino III.

With Dale Berends on upright bass, tallying impressive performance kilometres from years spent travelling extensively across Europe, the US and Australia – the lightning-quick riffs and dirty vocals lock into the rhythm section’s percussive snap and hum.

Their selected works from the hotbed of mid-century roots promise Smokin’ Firebirds will leave nothing in the tank.
